Today, Mark Zuckerberg announced on WhatsApp that Meta is rolling out its AI chatbot, Meta AI, to six new countries: Brazil, the U.K., the Philippines, Bolivia, Guatemala, and Paraguay. This expansion is part of Meta's larger plan to gradually release Meta AI in more regions, including the Middle East.

By the end of this rollout, Meta AI will be available in 43 countries and support over a dozen languages. The upcoming regions include Algeria, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Malaysia, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Thailand, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, and Yemen. Meta AI will also introduce support for Arabic, Indonesian, Thai, and Vietnamese languages.

You can find Meta AI on popular platforms like Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, and the Meta.ai website, making it easily accessible for users worldwide.

During last month’s Meta Connect event, Mark Zuckerberg revealed a significant milestone: Meta AI now serves nearly 500 million users worldwide. This impressive growth demonstrates the growing appeal of AI assistants and the increasing integration of AI into daily digital interactions. Zuckerberg went on to predict that by the end of this year, Meta AI could become the most widely used assistant globally, setting the stage for a new era of AI-powered communication. This momentum is largely fueled by the chatbot's immense popularity in key markets, particularly India.

India, with its vast user base of over 500 million WhatsApp users, has emerged as the largest market for Meta AI. According to Meta’s CFO, Susan Li, WhatsApp’s widespread adoption in the country has been a major driver of Meta AI's success. By embedding the AI assistant directly into a platform already used by hundreds of millions for everyday communication, Meta has tapped into a powerful ecosystem where users can seamlessly interact with AI without leaving their favorite apps.

To further enhance the user experience, Meta AI recently introduced a range of exciting new features. One standout addition is the inclusion of celebrity voices, allowing users to engage with AI-powered conversations that feel more personalized and entertaining.

The chatbot can now lip-sync translations as well, providing a more engaging and dynamic way for people to communicate across language barriers.

In addition, Meta AI’s generative capabilities have taken a leap forward with the expansion of the "Imagine" feature. Available across Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger, this tool allows users to create custom images simply by typing in a natural language prompt. Whether you're looking to visualize a concept or create unique content, Meta AI can generate images that match your imagination.

But the AI doesn’t stop at creating content—it’s also becoming more adept at understanding and interacting with user-generated media. Meta AI can now analyze photos, giving users the ability to ask questions about the content of their images.

For instance, users could inquire about details within a photo, or even ask the AI to edit aspects of it—making Meta AI not only a conversational tool but also a powerful visual assistant.

This combination of advanced natural language processing, image generation, and photo understanding positions Meta AI as a versatile assistant that caters to a wide array of user needs.
